If you’ve ever heard a ‘Back in Isle’ story, this is proof that they’re all true. Here is a little snippet of a movie that I made, my first iMovie attempt, from some backyard auto-racing footage I got from my brother. This clip is low rez and was filmed in night vision mode, so it doesn’t do the feat justice, but you’ll still get the idea of what really goes on up north.
Update:If you’re having troubles seeing the footage, just install iTunes on your PC already. Seesh.

Proof once again that the spacial time vortex does exist in the backwoods of Minnesota, seamlessly transporting you to the Ozarks. Who was that yelling YEEHAW?
Cool use of iMovie though, next time try filming a NASCAR event at BIR and use a Loverboy track for background.

The actuall race footage was just as helarious as this jump. It’s a figure-eight track on the ‘back 40’ of a friend. They had flags, powder puff races, hot laps, drivers meeting, and a water pumper to wet down the track. Some of the cars commanded high prices as high as two cases of beer on trade. Other special features include giant rear wings made of 2×6’s or huge bull horns on the front of the ride. I think about the funniest accessory was the Polka music blasting from one of the entrants during caution laps. All of the vehicles are prime cantidates for a new MTV spin off “Pimp My Ride” called Pimp my Short Tracker”. A hell, here’s a link to the entire movie for those who want to spend the time downloading a 72 MB clip (note, the polka music and the begining was not dubbed).
