I have to remove 8 torx t8 screws from the back of my TiBook to put my airport card in. That sucks because Sears, Home Depot, Menards, Fleet Farm, and Minnesota computer don’t carry a torx bit that small, and my alan wrenches and screwdrivers don’t work either.
Tethered.

Tim,
I had to buy one of those folding, swiss army-style sets of torx to find an 8. Did you see any of those? If not, come see me monday and I’ll lend you my set.

Would you believe: Target
I bought a set of 32 bits and a magnetic bit holder in a little reddish-orange rubber doohickey. It’s 2″ x 3″ approximately when it’s put together. Has T8, T9, T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30, bunch of square, hex, phillips, and standard bits. Right above the drills, usually in the middle of the row, hanging on a little hook.
Sorry I can’t be more specific. 🙂

What you’re looking for is pictured on the bottom of sisweb dot com (slash) tools (slash) screwdri.htm. The one I have has fewer bits than that, but that’s what it looks like.

I found a folding set as mentioned by cavedog online. Frickin’ target. Who would have thought to check there.
Thanks for the advice and offers.
