Here's my question: exactly how does one connect the aforementioned TiVo to one's home network? (without the usual hack, that is)

I don't see an Ethernet connection but there is a USB jack. Wireless USB adapter, perhaps?

TiVo? No sir! I'm looking at the ReplayTV. It's got broadband support, room-to-room video streaming, photo sharing. Plus there's already a hack to rip the MPEG files off of the box so you can burn 'em to CD.

For what I just spent on fixing my car, I could have bought a ReplayTV 5160 (160 hour recorder) and the lifetime activation.

I feel that I need digital cable or satellite TV so I have a better signal to record in the first place. Also need to buy a house before summer hits...

TiVo was announcing planned support, don't think you can hack rendezvous onto the old ones. What happened to the Moxi anyway, I thought that was supposed to be here by chrismas at the latest. I'm saving all my dough to finish my basement (or start finishing it anyway) and build a deck.

It's strange, when you buy a house, the gadget crave starts to come in second.
